ABOUT CAM:
A graduate of UCLA with an Economics degree that gave him no clue about how to end a recession, Cam turned his attention to advertising and found his first copywriting gig in his hometown of San Diego in 1983. Five years and two agencies later, he was the head writer for the #1 agency in town – then known as Phillips-Ramsey/McCann Erickson – building brands, producing campaigns and winning awards for the San Diego Zoo, WD-40, the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club and the United Way among others.

In 1991, Cam gave up all the San Diego sun and surf to work and raise a family in the advertising "hotbed" of Bend, Oregon. He spent more than a decade with The Mandala Agency, working on accounts such as Mountain Hardwear, Hi-Tec Footwear, Cellular One, Oregon Tourism Commission, Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort, The Oregon Lottery, Sunriver Resort, Broken Top, the Central Oregon Visitors Association and the Boys & Girls Clubs.

In 2002, Cam went out and started his own creative services shop, working with other agencies and directly with clients to develop successful brands and marketing campaigns. In recent years, he has been instrumental in developing the unique and highly successful Bend WebCAM (Web, Creative and Marketing) Conference.

When not writing pithy ad copy, you’re likely to find him exploring Cascade trails on foot, bike, skis or snowshoes along with his Golden Retriever; and occasionally dragging one of his two teenage daughters along with him.
